Jeff Bishop of TopStockPicks.com says that sentiment over retail stocks and the dominance of Amazon.com is so bad that it creates a fourth-quarter play on the SPDR S&P Retail ETF. Jeff noted that the ETF includes stocks that aren’t the kind being crushed by Amazon, but they have been oversold as the ETF has lost 10 percent year-to-date. He will use both shares and options to start playing the XRT if he sees a slight pullback from current levels.
Jeff Bishop is lead trader at TopStockPicks.com, running short-term trading strategies primarily using ETFs and stock options. At the time this interview was taped, he had no shares, options or open orders in XRT, although he was planning to trade the ETF as described in the interview.
